We welcome donations to help us raise awareness of PWS as our Association is funded mainly by subscriptions. The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Victoria Inc. is a registered charity, so any donations over $2 are tax deductible.

The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Victoria Inc. was set up in 1978 by parents of children affected by the syndrome and is totally run by volunteers. It has a long experience of providing help and information. Our membership focuses on Victoria and Tasmania although anyone is welcome to join. Our members include parents and carers, family members, people with PWS, professionals and interested supporters.

Membership Details, Newsletters
Membership of the Victorian Association also gives you membership of the Prader-Willi Association of Australia. Members receive a quarterly National Newsletter with up to date information as well as news of upcoming events and dates. Joining the Association gives you the opportunity to make contact with other parents and exchange information.

Library, In Servicing, Workshops
The Association offers:
• A very comprehensive member's library, including books and other resources on various aspects of the syndrome
• In-service visits are available for creches, schools, kindergartens, work places and adult centres within Victoria and Tasmania.
• Workshops for extended family and carers.

Family Fun Day, Guest Speakers, Meetings, Australasian Conference
The association runs a Family Fun Day annually and offers regular meetings throughout the year with guest speakers. An Australasian Conference is held every 2 to 3 years in either Australia or New Zealand, the next one will be held in 2008.
