ALEX AT 11 YEARS OF AGE
	Alex is in Grade 5 at his local primary school, with a part time aide. He was going to write something for this poster but he decided that his homework took priority! Alex plays bat tennis at school and his team has won at inter-school matches twice. He loves to ride his bike, so much so that when he was in grade three he went out for a ride around the court before school and decided that this was the day that he would put into place his plan to ride the 8 kms to school. After much anguish, lots of drives around the roads and a visit from the police his mother got a call from school to say that Alex had arrived safely, 35 minutes later, with a big grin on his face! He had taken a different route to school so that he could use school crossings along the way. Although angry and worried his parents were very proud of his achievement, after calming down. He is very keen on computer games, story writing and he avidly collects news items to talk about during that segment at school. Alex is a lot taller since this photo was taken because he is going through puberty.
